Artist Resources

Welcome and thank you for joining us as an Artist at theartseen.com. We feel that working as a team, together we can share the word with others and help each other to thrive as artists and creative people in the world.

From years of experience in the art world we, as Artists, realized that there was much that was missing from "the scene" in regards to easy access, career assistance, resources for artists, etc. It makes life hard for many, would be, great artists and in fact stifles the voices of many who be artists. So we started theartseen.com. What you see here is a new and successful approach to doing business in the art world.

We work to find win, win situations for us all.

Art is the language of deeper human experience manifested in physical form. This means that it can come from anywhere -- and anyone -- and we think it is immensely important to recognize this and support this language.

All over the world there are millions of people who produce art everyday. There is enough space for it all, and there is enough support for us all if we learn to work as a team.

We feel that if we work together, we can make big things happen. We all make art. We all help sell art.

We can all do well. We really can. Spread the word.

With a philosophy that drops the pretense and really focuses on the valuable contribution that creativity and creative voices make to our lives, we have done our best to build a site which can show and sell the work of any artist who approaches us for this purpose...while still allowing each the room their work needs to be seen in its own light.

This is a service we are now offering to all our registered artists. We hold an ongoing library of art portfolios for the artists who choose to take part in this service. It is from this library of art that we draw when opportunities come up for placement or other art related work.

Our Artist Representative team develops relationships with art galleries and other art sales venues across the country. We maintain these relationships and are constantly developing new ones, so we usually have lots of placement opportunities for artwork. In fact we often have more opportunities than we do artwork to fill them.
We cover all types ands styles of artworks with these relationships and can place most anything. This service is open to all of our registered artists so, if you are interested please send us an email. We will be glad to get you the requirements documents to get you started.

Artist representative services generally offer any or all of these below:

Theartseen.com Magazine and Catalogue

Yes, we will have our own magazine! The Art Seen Magazine for Contemporary Arts is on the way! It will have a variety of articles and features with valuable information on art, artists and creative centered living. We are even planning to have games for kids as well as step-by-step, educational art projects. The theartseen Magazine will also function as a sales catalogue for selected art works. Inclusion in the magazine is by invitation only. To find out more about our progress with the magazine contact us by sending an email to our Customer Service department.

Greeting Cards

All art works on our website may be offered as greeting cards by the artists.
This is not a huge income earner but it is a free service and can be an effective marketing tool.
After registering and uploading your work, you may sign in and go to your artists home page.
Once there you will need to locate the “Offer as Greeting Card” link which appears underneath each thumbnail image in your gallery.
Click this link and you will be led through the process of submitting a high resolution image and enabling the item to be offered for sale as a greeting card.
This service is free of charge.
Card prices are set by TheArtSeen.com
Artists receive 35% of the sum of the sale price and the shipping costs, after TheArtSeen production costs have been covered.
The return and payment policy for greeting cards is the same as it is for all other items selling on the theartseen.com website. Customers have 30 days to return the items. Artists are paid via company check after this time period has passed.
All cards are custom printed to order. The folded, 5x7 inch greeting cards sell in sets of 12 and are printed on 100 pound, UV coated, glossy cover stock that is similar in quality to cards you would find in an art museum gift shop; the paper for included envelopes is 80 lb stock, Classic Crest.
Cards are generally printed and shipped within 48 hours of a customers order.

Printing Assistance

This is a big one for some artists. We can easily help artists make prints of their original works. Often, newer artists do not have the know-how or financing to see this process through from start to finish. It is often hard enough to just produce the art let alone print it and sell it. So we step in here and offer you help. We can assist you in all aspects of the printing process including photographing your work, scanning images, actual printing and printing costs. This does not work for most signed and numbered works. This service is available to artists by application only. Apply for this service by contacting us during your registration or by emailing us at Artist Services.

Commissioned Work

Theartseen.com's artists have the opportunity to offer their services to our customers for commissioned art works. When a customer requests you for a commissioned piece, we contact you and set it up for you, serving as your art agent. Our customers will be securely billed through theartseen.com, guaranteeing that you will be paid in full for your work, and guaranteeing that the customers will receive their art. You can view the commissioned work page here. To be considered for our commissioned work service, please make sure to select the option for consideration during your registration process.

Theartseen.com art submissions

You images are automatically resized and thumbnailed during the upload process.

For the web gallery display, we prefer that you use JPEG images. Image size must be a minimum of 500 pixels per side, height or width, at 72 dots per inch. If this is not clear, send us an email describing the issues and we will clarify our needs to you.

Important!

The art depicted in all images uploaded to our website must be available to the Artist.

In order for us to assist in all printing, including postcards, all images must have high quality, high resolution, versions of the image of 300 DPI readily available, of the actual piece must be in the possession of the artist receiving assistance in order that we may have such images made as needed. Contact us for more specific image requirement specs.

Artist held works such as paintings or signed and numbered prints must be available for sale at the time of submission.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have at Artist Services.
